Nutrition Skills for Life® aims to work with partner agencies and organisations to ensure that everyone in Wales has the skills, opportunity and confidence to access the food they need for good health.

Nutrition Skills for Life®

Nutrition Skills for Life® aims to work with partner agencies and organisations to ensure that everyone in Wales has the skills, opportunity and confidence to access the food they need for good health.

It aims to do this by providing nutrition education and training for community staff and volunteers; supporting partner agencies to improve food and drink provision in community settings such as childcare, schools and older adults care settings and supporting communities to overcome barriers to accessing a varied and balanced diet. This can include establishing community food initiatives and enabling communities to share what works for them.

In Carmarthenshire, the Hywel Dda Health Improvement Dietetic Team – a team of Registered Dietitians, Community Nutrition Practitioners and Dietetic Assistant Practitioners – work in partnership with other organisations and the public to empower people to make healthy food choices.

The team delivers a range of courses in Carmarthenshire and you can find out more below. You can also find out more about Nutrition Skills for Life® here or contact the team by emailing [email protected]
