The Carmarthenshire Schools’ Challenge for 2024
The ‘Bwydlen Ein Bro’ Schools’ Challenge was launched in September 2023. This annual project-based event provides schools with an opportunity to use produce from their school gardens and link with local suppliers and producers, to develop a community meal based on food metres not miles.
Last year’s Gold Award schools were Ysgol Bro Banw and Ysgol Llangennech. Pupils from both schools helped prepare their winning recipes at Wright’s Food Emporium, Llanarthne and then served their delicious menu to invited guests.
