Healthy Start

The Healthy Start scheme is a Government initiative that provides eligible families with a Healthy Start card with money on it to spend on milk; fresh, frozen, and tinned fruit and vegetables; fresh, dried, and tinned pulses, and infant formula milk.

Healthy Start

The scheme supports families in receipt of certain benefits, specifically helping pregnant and breastfeeding mums, and children under the age of four. Eligible families can also use their card to collect Healthy Start vitamins to support mothers during pregnancy and breastfeeding as well as vitamin drops for babies and young children – these are suitable from birth to 4 years old.
