“We can work together to foster the food system in Carmarthenshire, inspired by the past but looking to the future, and celebrating a unique contemporary food culture linked to people and place. If we can achieve this, we can go a long way to supporting fair and secure livelihoods in
Wales, whilst aiding nature recovery and achieving net zero. We can reduce our footprint overseas and the incidence of diet-related disease locally, as well as food security with increased access to nutritious and sustainably produced Welsh food. That’s what Bwyd Sir Gâr Food is all
About.”
Augusta is based within Social Farms & Gardens, and has coordinated and facilitated Bwyd Sir Gâr Food since its inception in 2022.
She went to school in the Newcastle Emlyn area, where she lives now with her family.
